What is an Espresso session?

“An Espresso session is a 90 minute intense, interactive learning session for up to 20 participants focussing on a single core skill or technique that can be immediately applied in their personal or working life”

Why Espresso bite size modules?

With the ever changing landscape of today’s working environment the need for shorter, high impact training has become a major challenge for many organisations. In response to this shift Demos has developed learning solutions that aim to help individuals to take new ideas back into the work place. Demos’ new Espresso sessions provide your participants with the short, sharp shot of knowledge to help boost their performance.

How is it different from a standard Demos course?

o Each Espresso delivers one key skill or technique that can be used both at work, and outside of work in 90 minutes
o There is one learning object that delegates will take away
o The sessions are highly energetic and interactive
o No tables are required – delegates sit in a semi-circle
o Group size can be up to 20
o Evaluation and action planning takes place together using a postcard

Espresso is NOT:

o Shorter or longer than 90 minutes.
o A Cut and Paste section from existing Demos materials. Of course, we may use similar skills and techniques, however Espresso versions have the Espresso “look and feel”
o A 90 minute presentation or discussion
o An in-depth analysis of a particular topic. They do not replace our full day programmes, but are designed for a specific “quick hit” on a specific learning area.
