Project Management

Demos’ project management programmes are designed to deliver the core capabilities needed in project management and address the key issues
that project managers continue to face:

Key issues include:

  • Banishing project failure - Over one third of projects either fail to deliver key objectives, run over budget or go over deadline. By adopting the principle tools, techniques and best practice of project management delegates will significantly increase the chances of project success.
  •
  • Agreeing and adopting a formal project management approach - Recent research has shown that over 40% of organisations have no formal approach to project management. Adopting a formal process will ensure that professionals take the stress and confusion out of their project, and the tools and techniques will enable them to plan, track and manage each stage of their project life cycle efficiently and cost effectively.
  •
  • Managing people within projects - Many project managers are excellent at following a project management process, however all too often they overlook that the successful completion of projects to cost, time and to budget is hugely reliant on how the project manager manages the people in the project team. The ability to manage and motivate a team that may not normally report into them requires strong and broad interpersonal skills.
